Another Question

Charlotte, who is a newer friend of mine out here in bloggy land asked this

Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?

Unfortunately the answer is yes. I have been pulled over exactly one time and gotten exactly one ticket. Many moons ago I drove a little red Ford Festiva and it had some mechanical problems. One day while driving it home it was pouring down rain the car was acting up. I was just sure that it was going to break down and leave me stranded. I was on a road where the speed limit was 35 and turned on to another where it was 25 but I didn't realize it. Therefor, I did not adjust my speed. Therefor, I was going 36 miles over and was pulled over and written a ticket. I really felt like I should just get a warning but he said the area had been targeted and he had to give me a ticket. WHATEVER...but I'm not bitter or anything..LOL

Knock on wood, I have never been pulled over again. I'm pretty much a rule follower when it comes to speed. How about you guys? Tell me your stories.

I'll be bitter for you.

I hate being pulled over for the little things.....I can't get away with anything. I get busted every time I try.

Hee hee...I've been pulled over about seven times. And have been given two tickets. Being pregnant works wonders, that's all I'm sayin'.

If you write a letter to the court apologizing for your infraction they usually reduce the cost of the ticket by a fair bit. =)

First speeding ticket was one week after I got my license.

My parents were thrilllllllled.

It has been downhill since then.

Wait a second...did you mean you were going 36 miles per hour? Because that's no big deal! But if you were going 36 miles OVER, that put you at 61 miles per hour...in the pouring rain! You crazy rebel woman, hahaha! :D

Just one ticket... and it's a bit of a long story... we were supposed to take Little Bug to a hospital almost two hours away for a Cystic Fibrosis test. My husband couldn't come, so I asked a friend. She said sure... so I went to pick her up and she wasn't ready. We were a little late leaving. We had to drop her kids off at the babysitters... who happened to be her cousin. So they chatted... and chatted and chatted. Now we were REALLY late... sigh. I was going 75 in a 60... bad, eh? We just couldn't miss this test... :S
