Great read

So, now that I can see and I have all this time to myself on the train everyday, I have discovered again that I LOVE to read. Aside from a few books, magazines and scriptures snuck in here and there since I've been a mom, I haven't done much reading. But that has changed. I just finished a great book. It's one of those that I picked up and had a hard time putting down until it's done. So I thought I would tell you about it so you might enjoy it too. So, without further ado.....I give you The Memory Keepers Daughter. It's a great book about the effects that a single lie can have for years to come. I highly recommend it and if you have read it, let me know what you thought and if not I hope you will tell me when/if you do.

Oooo...so glad you liked it! I bought this last time we were at Costco (I stocked up big time there) but haven't got around to reading it. Can't wait now - thanks!

Ok... so I read this book a couple months ago and I have to say that it made me VERY sad... it was an interesting read- but I really thought it was a tragic story. I guess that was the point though. After the last page I just stared at it with my eyebrows furrowed fr a few minutes. It makes you think though. We should start a ward book club...
(as long as it is stress-free and low pressure) :)

Hey Char, I didn't know you were out here in bloggie land. I'm glad you found your way over.

I agree that it was a tragic story but I thought it was a real page turner and I was sucked into the story right away.

I think a ward book club would be great and I agree with the whole "low stress" thing.

I have heard so much about this book but have yet to pick it up. It's somewhere on my horribly backed up list of books to read. I should put that library card to use!!

Oh! Someone just loaned me that book. I haven't cracked it open yet. Now I have something to look forward to for next week!
