Holding my own

It's been a month now at my new job. Wow, it feels like I just started. I still have a huge learning curve ahead of me but I can now see the progress I'm making and so can the people I work with. My boss commented that they are very pleased with my progress and that I have surpassed their expectations. Now, I don't need to constantly be praised but it sure is nice every once in awhile.

It's been very busy and the days just fly by. Blake has his "end of T-ball" party tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. We are skipping the big league party and just having a BBQ with our team and parents. The moms are going to play the kids so that should be fun. Someone should come with a video camera because I'm thinking there will be 100,000 dollars to be made from Americas funniest videos.

Hubs took the day off tomorrow so it will be fun to have him around on a Saturday. He is going to help someone in our ward tomorrow morning and then I think I have him talked into going to Freddy's and getting me a Wii Fit. We have been trying to buy one but they are always sold out. A new shipment is coming in tomorrow so I'm crossing my fingers. Have you guys seen this thing? It's way cool. I'm hoping that by using it I can strengthen my core and help my back pain. A couple of people I know have one and they really like it. If I get one, I'll be posting about I'm sure.

I met with our new primary presidency and I think everything is going to be just fine. They are all great ladies and with the help of some time on our knees we'll make it. I was put in charge of the primary program..YIKES..I'm scared but I know some creative people and I have no problem calling in a few favors..lol

I'm so glad to hear that work is going well. I know what you mean about not needing constant praise but feeling good when you know you're doing a good job.

It's amazing that t-ball is already done--time sure flew by, eh? Wish I lived closer, I'd be there with my video camera ; )

Good luck getting the Wii.

You'll do a great job in Primary. They are all lucky to have you.

I can't figure out why they cannot keep up with demand for Wii products. I mean, have they not figured out that people want htem? A lot of people!!!???

I'm glad to hear you are settling in your new job. Was there any question they'd love you?
Not in my mind.

I'd never even heard of the Wii Fit...I may have to look a little closer at it!

They had Wii fit at Costco the other day for $79... and I thought "I'll come back and get it after pay day". Yeah right! They are GONE!! You'll have to tell me if you like it or not!!

I'm glad things are going well at work, and that you are appreciated! :)

I bet the T-Ball party was fun! :D

Good luck with the Primary program! Our President believes it is not necessary to get fancy with it...the outline was inspired, and it turns out great if it is followed! :)
