We were hoping to get his kindergarden teacher Mrs. Bayley because she moved up to 1st grade but he got Mrs. Ahlberg instead. At first I was a little disappointed but after talking to her a few times, I think we are really going to like her. Blake seems to like her a lot. He wasn't disappointed at all.
Sadly, he decided to try out his new scissor skills on his hair. Yep, he took a chunck of his hair out right in the front. I thought we had passed the age where this could happen and that we had dodged this particular typical childhood episode. Apparently he is just a late bloomer.

Scissors gone bad, indeed. Fortunately my daughter is too vain to cut her own hair but I'm on the lookout for her trying them on my son!
Good news is he's a handsome kid so he can totally pull that look off!
I agree with Kimberly--he is so cute, it's not a problem.
The only time Kyle ever had a problem with his hair is when I CUT IT--YIKES ; )
I hope he has a great year.
I honestly don't think the "hair cut" is all that bad . . . I think it'll be fine by the 20th . . . and if not, you can always tell the story when you send the pictures to family and friends! ;)
Happy grade 1 year, Blake . . . may it be AWESOME! :)
His pictures are so cute!
I wouldn't worry about the school pics...some good firm hold hair gel can hide his scissor adventure! ;)
Oh my funny! This has alway's been one of my major fears with my girls! I never thought to much about Preston...Until now! LOL!
What a memory :0)
