Last Friday I decided to take the day off. I didn't really have any plans and then Holly called and said "Let's go to the beach" Well, you never have to twist my arm to go to one of my favorite places and we were off. For those of you around here, we went to a great place about 4 miles south of Cannon Beach called "Hug Point" It's great for lounging and has some fun stuff to explore. I love spur of the moment trips like that. We had so much fun. The only thing missing was my hubby because he had to work.
We were there for about 4 hours and then had a nice dinner in Cannon Beach and came home. It was great even if I did get a sunburn on my legs and the top of my forehead. Apparently I need a lesson in how to apply sunscreen evenly.

Blake buried and loving it
Basking in the sun
The next day we had a primary service activity where we helped the kids plant flowers at the church. I'm pretty sure that dirt hadn't been touched since about 1976 because it was pretty hard but we got it done. We then had some great treats and played some fun games. I'm so lucky to be in primary. We have some really great kids!

YAY! I'm glad you had so much fun at the beach and at Primary Activity Day! :)
Sunburns can be super nasty! Three summers ago I forgot to use sunblock on my legs at a water park, and ended up with deep 2nd degree burns all down the front of them. I cried with the pain all night and the next day, and I could barely walk. It took over a month for the burns to heal completely!
Sounds like a really fun weekend! I'm glad you were able to have fun in the sun! :)
Oh how lovely! I sure do miss Oregon beaches. Most of the beaches here consist of rocks!
I too love the beach! The only thing that could have made your day even better, is me in that pic with you the two of you! LOL!
Looks like fun! Those days on the beach are far and few between. Thanks for being in Primary with me. I laugh at the fact that the ground was so hard. I sure hope those flowers are still alive!
I loved the "I've just been busy living life"--good for you. That's what we all need to do.
So glad you were able to have fun in the sun. Love the picture of Blake buried in the sand. Such a cute shot.
how much fun! I love the beach, we have recently discovered the "beach" at the lake and are having a lot of fun...went again today.
Hug Point is a great place. My kids love to play in waterfall and build dams in the little stream. I too burned my feet and my forehead at the beach last week.
Sounds like a great time! We love the beach, too! It sounds like the activity was fun--hope things are going okay in primary! See you in a few weeks!
What a blast! It makes me wish we lived close to the beach. Well, at least a real beach.
Update more often. ;-)
