Missing my blog

Our laptop has been down AGAIN for the last month so Internet surfing has mainly been on my IPOD touch. Don't get me wrong, I totally love my new toy but I don't have the patience to post the length of a blog post on it. The buttons are to small etc etc.

Anywhoo, we have just been busy with life. The laptop is getting fixed by Toshiba AGAIN so we should have it back in the next week or two. I'll get caught up with our goings on at that time.

This weekend, I am heading to the beach with just my honey. No dog, no child. Whatever will we do? lol We haven't taken a little time away since Blake was about 3 years old so we're due.

Hope all is well with my bloggy buddies. I have been trying to keep up with you on my little bitty screen but forgive me if I've missed something.

To blog

First of all, thanks to everyone for your input on my last post. I really appreciate it.

I've decided to keep blogging and I'm going to take the advice of a few of you and mush them together. This is my blog. It's for me and my family. I am a big girl and can blog about whatever I like. I don't need to worry about who is or isn't reading it. I've never been that private of a person but I'm sure there are some things that I won't want on the world wide web. For those things, I will use my written journal. It won't be updated as often but at least I'll have a place to put my thoughts down if I don't want the whole world to see.

I like looking back over this blog and seeing the good times and even the bad. I think my child will someday as well. The good, the bad and the ugly. It all makes up this blessed life that we live.

Holy "missed it" Batman

Nancyface just made me realize that I missed my very first Bloggiversary. I started blogging June 27, 2007. This is for sure the longest that I've kept up with any form of journal. I have much more to say about what this blog has meant to me but I don't have the time right now. I'll be back soon to celebrate this special "belated" occasion.

Thinking of going private

I'm seriously considering going private with my blog. Not so much for the security of my family (although that wouldn't hurt) but because this blog isn't really turning into what I wanted it to be. When I first started, I thought it would be a great place to journal about my life since I have never been good at it in "real" life.

On one hand, I have done this but on the other, I feel like I often self censor my blogs because I don't want to sound too negative or too whatever. I want to be able to write some of my most real and raw feelings because it is part of who I am. I do love that I have some loyal people who read my blog on a regular basis and I appreciate it. I even look forward to reading the comments that are left. So....I'm torn.

Do you ever feel that you censor what you write because you know who is reading and you just might know them in "real" life?

Maybe I should just create a new blog that is private and is all mine where I can put my innermost thoughts and feelings and keep this one as well. Maybe I can make this one private and give access to those who want it. Hmmm...need to think about this a bit.
