What were they thinking? Who would build a house that has several bedrooms and think to themselves "Hmm, I think we should put very light, cream colored carpet all through the house" "Yeah, that will be great for families that live here and have children" We have been able to replace the carpet downstairs but still have the nasty (been here since the beginning) stuff upstairs.
On a related note, did you know that peroxide helps to get blood out of the carpet? Yep, it just kind of eats it up. Just in case you ever need it.
**Edited** Don't worry, Blake has allergies and gets a really dry nose in the Spring and he has had a couple of bloody noses the last couple of days.

DOH!!
That hydrogen peroxide is great stuff.
I had no idea about hydrogen peroxide, think it gets red punch out?
we did light carpet, don't know what we were thinking! though it looks better than my friend who put in really dark carpet...
I love the title, Tonya. I can just see you saying that. Some people just don't think these things through.
Owie! Hope everyone is okay...I mean, how much blood are we talkin' about here?
Thanks for the info on the hydrogen peroxide. (hope you only needed to use a drop ; )
Cream colored carpet is what we have all throughout our house, too. I hate it.
My brother-in-law taught me the hydrogen peroxide trick after his daughter got a bloody nose at our home one time. It does work wonders! I hope he doesn't get any more bloody noses... I used to have the same trouble when I was a kid. Never a fun thing...
I hate our light carpet. When I have my own home again (sigh) it will have hard wood floors. I miss my wood floors sooooo much!!
I have light blue carpet...maybe not quite as high maintenance as cream, but I still hate it! My hubby wants to replace it, but I say we need to wait until our youngest kid stops dragging food all over the house! UGH! :0
I'm really thankful that most of my house is tile with big (mostly dark) area rugs. :)
Good blood removal tip! Does it work for clothes? My hubby gets bad dry noses during allergy season and will occasionally get a bloody one because of it!
Isn't home owning fun!! Can't wait to go start over. Lot's of work no matter how you slice it.
I had no idea about peroxide. What about all the other crap that makes its way to our carpet? :-)
I hadn't thought of peroxide...I'm going to try it on the red marker that leaked on our cream colored carpet.
Bloody nose.....sure.....I'll have to use that one....the next time I beat up my husband, I mean he gets a bloody nose. :)
